SPEAKER: As you set up talech Mobile, you might be wondering how to pair your card reader with the app.

During this lesson, we're going to show you the steps to pair your Mobi 5500 to the talech Mobile app on your phone. The example shown is with an iPhone. If you have an Android, there are a few differences, so we'll let you know what those are.
Please ensure a few things before you start to make sure you don't run into issues with the process. First, that both your phone and the reader are fully charged or connected to a power source before attempting to pair or take payments. Second, that your OS version is current. And finally, that you don't have any pending software updates.
Let's begin. To connect the Mobi 5500 in talech from the Home screen, tap Settings, then select Card readers.

On Android, if your Bluetooth is not turned on, you may see a prompt to turn on before continuing. Please tap Turn on.

For both iOS and Android, click the Plus button to add a card reader. And select the Mobi 5000.

In the bottom right.

An in-app guide will appear on screen to help you set up your reader. But we'll cover it in this lesson.

Instructions appear on the app and a user follows the instructions with the card reader, a palm-sized black box device.

Start by pressing and holding the black button on the right side of the reader until the red light turns on. To confirm your reader is ready to pair, you'll see a blinking blue light next to the red light.
On step 3 of the tutorial within the talech Mobile app, tap the Start pairing button.

A prompt will appear to confirm the pairing request. Tap Pair. Then tap the Power button on the reader to confirm. The blinking blue light will turn solid to confirm pairing was successful.
The reader is now connected and ready for use.

The user clicks the home button in the top left and return to the app Dashboard.

From here, click the keypad and enter in a $0.01 item. Click Pay and make sure the Credit option is selected from the dropdown Payment menu.

They click Pay on the bottom. The drop-down menu is on the top of the screen.

On the bottom. A tip screen appears and they click No Tip, then Done on the bottom.

It may take a few moments for the initial transaction to go through. This won't be the case every time. It will be faster going forward.
Once you tap, insert, or swipe the NFC-enabled card or phone you're paying from, the transaction will be approved

A signature box appears on the screen, the user signs it and clicks Complete Transaction on the bottom right.
